Billie Eilish – Happy Than Ever
American singer-songwriter Billie Eilish’s 2021 second studio album of the same name features the song “Happier Than Ever.” On July 30, 2021, Darkroom and Interscope Records released it as the sixth single from the album. This jazz-infused pop-punk and emo song expresses Eilish’s resentment of a past lover after a poisonous relationship. It begins with melancholic vocals supported by bass and classical guitars, then halfway through it switches to a distorted pop-punk and rock sound with electric guitars and snare drums. Following the conclusion of her 2019 When We All Fall Asleep Tour in America, she collaborated with producer Finneas O’Connell to write the song.
