Billie Eilish – Therefore I Am
American singer-songwriter Billie Eilish’s song “Therefore I Am” is the second single off her second studio album, Happier Than Ever (2021). On November 12, 2020, Darkroom and Interscope Records released it. It’s an upbeat pop, dark pop, R&B, and electropop song with hip hop influences. Together with Finneas O’Connell, the song’s producer, Eilish wrote it.
Music critics gave the song favorable reviews; many of them compared it to Eilish’s popular single “Bad Guy.” Several publications, including Billboard, NME, and Uproxx, included “Therefore I Am” in their year-end lists for 2020. Eilish achieved her fourth top-10 hit in the US with the song, which peaked at number two on the US Billboard Hot 100. The song also peaked at number one on the Mainstream Top 40 chart and in the top five on the Billboard airplay Hot Rock & Alternative Songs charts. It achieved a platinum certification in Canada from Music Canada (MC) and peaked at number one on the singles charts in Greece, Ireland, Lithuania, and New Zealand.
