The song “Back to Sleep” by American recording artist Chris Brown is taken from his seventh studio album, Royalty. It is also known by the edited version of “Sex You Back to Sleep.”The song was made available as the third and first urban singles from the album in 2015. Contemporary music critics gave the song varying ratings; some praised its production and listed it among the album’s highlights, while others condemned its lyrical content.
The song was likened favorably by critics to Brown’s earlier singles “Take You Down” (2008) and “No Bullshit” (2011) as well as to Marvin Gaye’s “Sexual Healing” from 1982.
With a peak position of 20 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and 5 on the US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, the song was the album’s most popular track.
