Eminem – My Name Is
From his second album The Slim Shady LP (1999), American rapper Eminem’s song “My Name Is” is available. It serves as both the album’s opening track and lead single. British pop rock duo Chas & Dave used a bass and guitar riff from the 1975 song “I Got The…” by British vocalist Labi Siffre as the basis for this song. “VH1’s 100 Greatest Songs of the ’90s” placed the song #26. The “1001 Best Songs Ever” list from Q Magazine placed “My Name Is” at number six. Eminem’s first top 40 single, “My Name Is” peaked at number 36 on the Billboard Hot 100. “My Name Is” reached its peak in the top ten of the charts outside of the US in Iceland, New Zealand, Norway, Ireland, and United Kingdom.
