The fifteenth song on Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s VULTURES 1 album is “Problematic,” also referred to as “Murder Murder” and, according to some insiders, originally titled “Worship.” First heard on September 1, 2023, at the Electric Picnic Festival in Dublin, Ireland, Ye gave Steve Lacy a backstage preview of several previously unheard songs, including one featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Young Thug—possibly their unheard song River. The entire song was performed twice, once on February 8, 2024, at the Chicago Vultures Listening Party and once more on February 9, 2024, at the New York Vultures Listening Party.
The song features Ye’s comeback to soul samples, a production style that became well-known with his past endeavors like The College Dropout. In particular, this song samples “Spooky Booth” by Jubilation. Ye boasts about his influence on the music and fashion industries while discussing the criticism he received for his controversial remarks made in late 2022.
