My biggest fear about remarrying was facing a family who might not accept my daughter – Newlywed Nigerian mom says as she praises her new in-laws

A Nigerian photographer, Comfort Kumashe, who got married early this month, is full of praise for her husband and his family members for accepting and embracing her daughter from a previous marriage, with open arms.

“When I first thought about remarrying, my biggest fear was facing a family who might not accept my daughter and me and was worried that we might not be welcomed, that we might not fit in. But God has truly blessed us beyond measure,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, alongside photos of her in-laws.

I’m overjoyed to share that I’ve found a beautiful family who has embraced us with open arms. My father-in-law’s love for baby Esther is beyond anything I could have imagined—he misses her the moment she leaves and asks about her constantly.

It’s heartwarming to see how much he adores her. From afar you will think or see daddy as strict or hard man but coming closer I realize daddy is just my daddy  a very nice and caring man I call him my real husband any other person is a side boo

And the love doesn’t stop there. I’ve been fortunate to have incredible sister-in-laws. From my previous marriage , I was blessed with wonderful, loving, and respectful sisters. Now, I’m equally fortunate to have amazing new sisters who make me feel cherished loved and supported. Baby Esther says they are her favorite aunties Once they are around she completely ignores me and clings to Them

Stepping into a home filled with love and nurturing is something you truly feel deep in your heart. I am endlessly grateful to the Sambas for making us feel so welcomed and loved. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
